Nine years in the running, the Esquire Apartment takes place in the coolest, most unattainable spaces around. In this case, it was the $25 million dollar Clocktower penthouse apartment in DUMBO, our very own Brooklyn neighborhood. Esquire invited us to design a media installation on behalf of one of its sponsors, Acura. We created a truly collaborative digital experience; we designed and built a table as a centerpiece. Part instrument. Part light play. Part information design. We made people touch, hear and play in unconventional ways – in the coolest space around.

This mostly forgotten gem hit the circuit in 1967. This film is mainly notable for spawining the largely cult-worshipped “Billy Jack” series, with Tom Laughlin playing the titular character. The film was actually a modest money-maker and was American International’s highest grossing flick until 1979, when The Amityville Horror was released.

During 3 years (2008-2011) i have been drawing 12 drawing of animation every day, it make one second of film. I had no plans what so ever before starting the first drawing. And then, each of the folowing days, I took the 3 last drawing from the day before and kept on animating. I use a none erasable pen, and drew on the back side of used A4 paper.

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is an amazing up and coming city. This time lapse is a culmination of 10,000 RAW images and multiple shoots capturing some of the cities relentless energy and pace of change.

Everyone who has visited Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam knows part of the magic (love it or hate it) is in the traffic. Ever since I first set foot in HCMC I have been captivated by the cities energy. Saigon is a city on the move unlike anything I have experienced before which I wanted to capture and share.

In a city park, Lauren participates in a scavenger hunt where passengers must pair up with a pedicab driver to find items on a list, but an inconsiderate, over-weight passenger makes it a challenge for her.

Versus is a sound installation consisting of two kinetic sculptures placed face to face.

Each sculpture is made out of 12 triangular panels, hinged and powered by six linear actuators, controlled by a specific program. At the center of each corolla, a loudspeaker and a microphone allow to play and record sounds.
At regular intervals, each sculpture produces a sound, simultaneously recorded and analyzed by the opposite sculpture, which then moves according to the frequencies of this sound.
Like a feedback loop, it then plays back the recorded sound, with the errors and disturbances caused by the reverberating space and the visitors.

By intervening in this conversation, the viewer becomes an actor, as he degrades the communication by his presence and the noises he produces. As the panels move back and forth at a pace determined by the environmental sound, they create a non-immediate interaction, where the imperfections of reproduction are becoming creative elements.

The original sound is continuously transformed, and becomes something entirely new and unpredictable. The memory of past events is hold for a moment, until it’s reproduced, degraded, and then forgotten, replaced by the present.
